Note: square buds, shorter petals than Oenothera hartweggi; the disk-shaped stigma does not extend beyond the filaments, and leaves usually have tiny teeth. Berlandier’s Sundrops are similar but the stigma extends well-beyond the filament. [Notes from George Miller’s website]
